Tipton Hospital’s Radiology Department provides the following services:

• Digital Mammography - Screening, diagnostic, or special procedures are performed Monday through Friday. Mammography patients may be self-referred (if criteria are met) by calling the Tipton Hospital Radiology Department at (765) 675-8538. Appointments may be scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Physician offices may also schedule screenings. Diagnostic and special procedures are scheduled by a physician’s office.




• Dexa or Bone Densitometry - Bone density screenings are provided Monday - Friday. Call the Tipton Hospital Radiology Department at (765) 675-8538.
  

• General Radiology - No appointment is necessary for outpatients Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. and from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. (noon) on Saturday. Emergency and inpatient coverage is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  

• Ultrasound & Vascular Diagnostics - Exams are scheduled by the physician, radiology staff, or hospital staff. Regular Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Emergency coverage is provided on weekends.




• Nuclear Medicine - All non-cardiac patients are scheduled through the radiology department. Nuclear cardiac scans are scheduled by the cardiology scheduler at (765) 675-8578. Hours of operation are from 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. All nuclear scans require pre-certification.

• Computed Tomography (CT) - Emergency coverage is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All other CT Scans are scheduled through the Radiology Department. All non-emergency scans require pre-certification.
  

• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – Tipton Hospital offers our patients a full-time, high-field MRI. All appointments are scheduled through the radiology department. Extended hours are available on Wednesdays as requested. All MRI scans require pre-certification.
